Stickers are media with text or images either printed or screen printed on a sheet of paper or vinyl on the reverse of which a thin layer of adhesive has been placed.

This sheet is glued to silicone-coated paper or transfer in order to conserves its adhesion capacity until we decide to stick the sticker on the final surface.

However, there are stickers that do not require an adhesive layer, e.g., electrostatic stickers, as they are placed on very smooth surfaces, such as glass or ceramics.

The characteristics of this type of product make it ideal for fixing printed messages on multiple surfaces in a simple and economical way.

There is no standard format for printing stickers, because they are made according to customer needs.

So we can find everything from large format advertising stickers to small adhesive labels to label products, including all kinds of sizes and shapes depending on their specific use.

Sometimes it is necessary to die cut the stickers to give them different shapes (circular, oval...)

Stickers can be printed by offset or digital printing on sheets of paper or vinyl, although this is not the only way to print stickers.
There is an entire industry that prints a multitude of adhesive products in reels and different ways of printing, such as screen printing, flexography or laser and mechanical engraving...

Stickers are usually printed on one side, except for some exceptions that are printed on both sides. And as usual, they can be printed in the following ways:

  • colour (four-colour)
  • in black
  • in two colours
  • Pantone colours or special inks
  • combinations of the above

Stickers can be created from various materials, mainly: coated paper, offset paper, laid paper, metallic material, thermal, vinyl...
